Be Blessed So You Can Be a Blessing
Where do you go from here? What will you accomplish? It’s up to you. Decide if you want to follow God’s advice or worldly information on your money. Realize your future hasn’t
been written and with God’s guidance, determine to serve Him in your financial life. Finally, decide to pay the price. If you decide to do so, you will be blessed and be a blessing to others.
If you are reading this book in America, you are incredibly blessed. You live in a land of great liberty and opportunity. And these great liberties and opportunities are increasingly
available worldwide. Today more than any other time in history, the methods and opportunities to make money and amass wealth are almost endless. Today, more than any other time in history, the opportunities to prosper are worldwide. It’s
a pivotal time in history.
The 11 Be Attitudes of Prosperity are basic rules of wealth. They are based on truths from God’s Word. The only question now is: “Are you willing to pay the price of developing the right attitudes?”
The price for following The 11 Be Attitudes of Prosperity is obedience, discipline, self control, and focus. The decisions you make with dollars will be the consequence of first having decided to pay the price of developing these inner 11 Be Attitudes of Prosperity. When God does bless you with wealth, heed the words of Jesus in Luke 12:15:
Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.
God is blessing you for one reason and one reason only: so you can use that money to further God’s Kingdom.
During the Great Depression of the 1930’s, Spring Arbor College was about to be shut down by a creditor. Grandpa White purchased the debt from the creditor and held it
personally for years until the college could pay it back. If Grandpa White had given all his money away, he would not have had the resources to save the college. Since that time,
tens of thousands of students have benefited from attending this Christian college, now a university. Teachers, pastors, doctors, and business executives attending the college have
touched the lives of many more – all because one man at a critical juncture had the resources to assume a debt. John Wesley said that God wants a man to have the tools necessary to earn his living. Money is a tool to be used to build God’s Kingdom, not your own kingdom.
Jesus certainly cares about our attitudes regarding money. Randy Alcorn writes in Money, Possessions and Eternity that Jesus devoted “twice as many verses to money than to faith
and prayer combined and more about money than both heaven and hell.“ He further states, “The sheer enormity of scripture’s teaching on this subject screams for our attention.”
So if you want to be blessed so that you can be a blessing, study God’s Word, memorize God’s Word, and live by God’s Word. Proverbs 3:5-6 says,
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.
The world’s wisdom of materialism and greed are tempting and alluring. But the worldly wisdom of he who dies with the most toys wins is tragic folly when viewed through an eternal perspective. He who dies with the most toys is still dead and has wasted his life on earth. Notice the two components of Proverbs 3:5-6. First, trust the Lord, and second, don’t lean on your own understanding.
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.
– Winston Churchill
I said in the introduction that The 11 Be Attitudes of Prosperity are simple to read, and simple to remember. Thank you for reading them. I hope you remember them and put
them into practice, for they are based on truths from God’s Word.
Your future hasn’t been written yet. You control your own financial destiny. May God, who will have the last word, bless you beyond belief!
Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for me?
– Jeremiah 32:27
In closing, never forget the starting point of life:
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.
– Matthew 6:33
